Virginia Fishing Adventures has provided Virginia’s youth with material for many fish stories over the last four years, and most of them are even true! This week program offers campers the opportunity to learn the basics of fresh and saltwater fishing in nearby private ponds, rivers, and the Chesapeake Bay. Pick-up and drop-off occurs at Congressional Camp and campers are driven by our staff to the day’s fishing location. Campers may also earn their fishing merit badge through this program. Safety is our number one priority, so campers will wear lifejackets when in the water or on a boat. Our counselor-to camper ratio is 1-to-4 to insure one-on-one instructional time each day. This camp has very limited spaces, so sign up early! Virginia Fishing Adventures provides all food and drinks, bait and tackle, rods and reels, and lifejackets. The campers should just bring their own sunscreen and wear shoes and clothes that they don’t mind getting wet and dirty.
