Register here for 2010 Summer Programs!
Introduction
Our 2010 Brochure is now available online in pdf format. Since we are offering some new programs and have made changes to others, please read the brochure carefully before completing your application. You may also browse this site for information on all of our 2010 programs. In order for your application/s to be processed efficiently, please refer to the information below, on the application, in the brochure and on this website.
This year we have moved our registation process 100% online. Once the online application is processed you will receive a welcome packet, which will include the pre-populated Camp Health form, Waiver form and other camp material. Applicants will be enrolled in requested programs on a first come, first served basis. Proof of Identity document and required payment as described on the application, must be complete in order to be processed. Incomplete applications will not be processed and will be returned for completion.
Registration is for complete sessions. Camp sessions cannot be split. Since additional sessions are difficult to obtain during the summer, please take care to sign up for what you need when you complete your application. Any request for enrollment changes cannot be guaranteed and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants enrolled in at least one program will be placed on the Wait List for other requested programs that are full at the time of application. Parents will be given the Wait List options if all requested programs are full.
The application form is designed to be used for one camper’s registration. If you need additional forms or more information, please call (703) 533-9711, ext. 402.
Please be sure to fully explain any special needs or medical conditions that your child may have on the Emergency / Health History Form. Medical conditions not mentioned prior to camp admission may be considered inappropriate for Congressional Camp and could result in dismissal from the program.
Virginia Proof of Child Identity and Age
The Virginia Department of Social Services in accordance with House Bill (63.1-196.002 of the Code of Virginia) is requiring all campers to present proof of identity - if the applicant is a Congressional student and/or attended Congressional Camp in the summer/s of 2006 and/or 2007 and provided Proof of Identification, we do not need to see the applicant’s proof of identification document again.
If you need to provide proof of identification, below is a list of valid proofs of identity:
Record from a public school in Virginia (original report card)
-
Certified copy of child’s birth certificate
-
Birth registration card (original)
-
Passport (original)
-
Copy of a placement agreement or other proof of identity from placing agency
-
Certification by principal or his designee of a U.S. public school that a certified copy of birth record was previously presented
This documentation and information must be supplied before attending camp.
"I think Congressional Camp is a wonderful, quality offering. I think the counselors and staff are well-trained, friendly and good at what they do. I think there is high-quality supervision and quality control and immediate follow-up on any concerns. I think the campus is beautiful and the day camp and specialty camp are very high quality. "
