Fishing

From baiting to casting, campers are going to dive deep into the world of fishing. We are lucky enough to have Tripp’s Run Creek on campus for our campers to start on before having a collection of field trips to venture out to area lakes which will provide ample opportunity for campers to learn about different types of bait, fish, and fishing styles.

Congo Camp Cooking Show

Program Type:

Love cooking? Love entertaining people? Love making videos? Here’s your chance to put all of these things together and be the star of your own cooking show. Campers will not only exercise their culinary muscles, but consider how to break down and demonstrate the cooking process. Next, they will film their segments, add some “tv magic,” and edit together an original Congo Camp Cooking Show to share with family and friends.

Badminton

Program Type:

From “Drop” to “Rally”, learn the in’s and out’s of this popular backyard sport as campers will play both on grass and on the court. This fun and easy to learn sport is sure to be a blast for many campers. Throughout the week, campers will learn the basics before playing matches and other games and activities designed to hone their skills.

Teen Travel – Hershey Park

Program Type:

No adventure too great, no destination too far! This exclusive program offers our older campers an exciting choice of off-site activities. A sample of Teen Travel activities includes bowling, rafting, skating, Annapolis, IMAX films, Medieval Times and water parks. Each session is unique, so campers can sign up for multiple sessions and experience different destinations. This session will have a 3 day, 2 night overnight trip. For this session, the team will be headed to Hershey Park for roller coasters and amusement fun and stay at a hotel nearby! Admission tickets, snacks and accommodations for overnights are included at no extra charge.

Pony Adventures

Program Type:

In Pony Adventures, you will be immersed in the world of ponies! You will learn how to care, feed, groom, and take care of all of the needs of the ponies on campus. Campers will have a 45-minute personalized lesson each day. In addition to riding, you will learn about teamwork and the importance of safety when being around ponies. All equestrian activities are weather-dependent. In the case of inclement weather, certain activities may need to be postponed or cancelled without refund. Campers are required to bring long pants and close-toed shoes, and encouraged to bring riding boots with a low heel and a professionally fit helmet.
