About the role
The Extended Hours Program (EHP) Coordinator leads daily after-camp programs, ensuring a warm, safe, and engaging environment. You’ll manage staff and schedules, oversee attendance and dismissal, communicate with families, and uphold safety and behavior expectations. This is a supervisory role that reports to the Director of Summer Programs

Responsibilities

• Lead daily EHP operations: staffing/coverage, attendance, ratios, check-in/out, and dismissal flow.
• Coach and support EHP Counselors in proactive behavior management and inclusive practices.
• Communicate promptly and professionally with families; handle escalations and follow-up.
• Oversee documentation: incident/accident reports, behavior notes, and parent contacts.
• Monitor facilities, playgrounds, and equipment; address hazards/maintenance; uphold sanitation and allergy protocols.
• Coordinate with Campus Operations, Health Center, and Transportation as needed.
• Meet or exceed ACA practices and Virginia child day program licensing standards.
• Be punctual, prepared, and flexible; perform other duties as assigned by the Director or designee.
• Understand that duties/schedules may be adjusted by the Camp Director (or designee) to meet program needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading after-school/camp programs and supervising staff.
• Strong behavior management and family communication skills.
• Pediatric First Aid/CPR (or able to obtain and maintain); MAT a plus.
• Organized, calm under pressure, and an excellent communicator; comfortable indoors/outdoors.

Eligibility: Must be 21+ by the first day of employment and able to pass required background/screening checks per School and Virginia regulations.
