Supplemental classes in several of the most requested activity areas are available for an additional fee. All supplemental activities are extremely popular and have limited availability. Online registration is available on a first come, first served basis for campers enrolled in a full day program on the Main Campus in Falls Church.
Rising First to Ninth Graders
Two days a week, Swimming and Tae Kwon Do take place after regular camp hours. Horseback riding lessons are also available twice a week during the camp day, and are only available to campers participating in programs on our main campus at Congressional School.
Swimming: Monday – Thursday; 3:15 – 3:45 OR 3:45 – 4:15
Tae Kwon Do: 3:30pm-4:00pm
Archery: Monday – Thursday; 3:15-3:45
Four-Year Olds to Rising Kindergartners in the Great Adventures Division
Small group swimming lessons, and after-camp sports will be offered as supplemental classes for Great Adventures campers. Swimming can be taken two days per week. Sport mini-camps begin after camp and are held four days a week, with Friday being reserved for a make-up day.
GA Swimming: 2:30pm-3:00pm OR 3:00pm-3:30pm
GA FitKids Mini-Camps (t-ball, gymnastics, and soccer): 3:30pm-4:15pm OR 4:15pm -5:00pm
Fit Kids Soccer Mini Camp
Fit Kids Soccer is an excellent all-around fitness sport that is also very inclusive. Our highly qualified coach will teach the fundamentals and their applications in game situations. Young players will enjoy learning new skills with drills and games. The primary goal is for your child to build their confidence in his or her abilities, while having fun and making new friends at the same time. Footwork, dribbling, shooting, trapping, and speed training are just a few of the skills that will be focused on during this fun mini camp. Beginners will learn the basics, and advanced players will strengthen their techniques and tactical play to bring their games to the next level. Wear tennis shoes daily.
Fit Kids T-Ball Mini Camp
Fit Kids™ T-Ball Mini Camp introduces kids to the basics of T-Ball. Hitting, stance, fielding, throwing, and catching are only a few of the basics covered. Bring a glove if you have one, otherwise all of the equipment will be provided such as Velcro catch gloves, foxtail balls, bats, tees, bases, and More! Wear tennis shoes daily.
Fit Kids Tumbling/Fitness Mini Camp
During this mini camp, concentrated instruction on floor exercises, mat work, balance beam work and stretches will provide an exciting challenge for both boys and girls. Tumbling helps children develop self-confidence, body awareness, coordination, muscle strength, and discipline.
