Health & Nutrition

At Congressional Camp we believe a safe and supportive environment provides the foundation for days full of exploration and fun.

The safety of our campers and counselors is our utmost priority. We are constantly reviewing and updating our policies and procedures to ensure the best environment for our community. In addition, Congressional is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools, licensed by the Virginia Department of Education as a Child Day Care Center, and an Accredited Camp by the American Camp Association.

Our Health Office is led by our year-round Nurses Caitlin McKearney and Meredith Stevens and joined by our seasonal Health team that oversees the day-to-day Health operations at Camp.

In addition to Health and Safety, we know proper nutrition is paramount to fuel our campers for the large variety of activities in the camp schedule. Lunch and Snack are included in all programs. Campers with specific dietary needs or restrictions may bring lunch and snacks from home. Menus for 2024 should be available online in Late May.

You can reach our nurses via campnurse@congocamp.org or 703.533.9711 ext. 224
