Day Camp
Classic camp fun, endless adventure, and new memories every single day.
Day Camp is where campers build friendships, try new things, and experience the joy of summer. Each week is filled with adventure, outdoor education, sports, arts and crafts, horseback riding, archery, swimming, and many other hands-on activities woven into a balanced weekly schedule. Camp runs daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with theme days and special events that bring extra fun to each session. Campers head home happy, tired, a little dirty, and full of stories to share.
Campers are placed into co-ed groups based on the grade they will enter in the fall, creating a strong sense of community and belonging. Every group is led by an adult Lead Counselor and a Junior Counselor, with CITs supporting our Primary and Freshman groups.

Overnights
Congressional Camp offers a limited number of optional overnights throughout the summer for an additional fee. Families will receive an email in advance with details and a registration link. Each overnight includes dinner, themed activities, and breakfast the following morning. Campers should bring their own toiletries along with a sleeping bag, pillow, and any preferred blankets.
Overnights are themed and take place primarily in our gymnasium. Past themes have included Gold Rush, Scooby-Doo Mystery, and Casino Night.
Drop-off & Pick-up
Campers can arrive and depart in three different ways: Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up, our Extended Hours Program, or Bus Services.
Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up runs from 8:45–9:15 AM and 3:45–4:15 PM. Please place your name card on the dashboard so it is clearly visible to staff. CITs will help younger campers exit vehicles and find their groups in the morning. In the afternoon, we will radio for your camper when you pull in, and a counselor or CIT will walk them to your car. Campers not picked up by 4:15 PM will be taken to EHP.
Our Extended Hours Program (EHP) is available from 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:45–6:00 PM. Campers in EHP are supervised by dedicated staff and participate in a mix of age-appropriate activities before and after the camp day.
Our Bus Services provide transportation from convenient cluster stops across Northern Virginia, making it easy for families to access camp from a wide area. Counselors escort bus riders to and from their designated locations each day.
