Application & Hiring Process

It’s simple.

 

All Congressional Camp staff and faculty are carefully screened through a process of interviews, reference verifications, and background checks prior to being hired. In addition to pre-camp orientation, staff members must attend training workshops and meetings before the start of camp that provide useful advice on dealing with conflict between campers, behavioral issues, minor injuries, and more. Weekly meetings are held for specialists and staff of each age division to make sure everything is running smoothly according to the rules and procedures set in place. Counselors are required to report any serious issues or emergencies to senior staff members immediately.
