Life at Camp
Life at Camp: where every day is full, real, and unforgettable
Working at Congressional Camp is more than taking on a summer job. It’s joining a living, breathing summer community. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be part of the rhythm of camp: early mornings, full activity blocks, pool time, evening events, and the laughter that lingers late into the day. We believe staff thrive when they are active, included, challenged, and celebrated.
Behind the Scenes
Your role goes beyond supervising campers. Staff pitch in with set-up and clean-up, help plan activities, cheer on campers during challenges, and support one another when the day gets hectic. It’s fast-paced and demanding, but no two days are ever the same.
Camp Culture
What makes Congo special is the people. Staff nights, theme days, and camp-wide events create a strong sense of community. You’ll laugh, sing, and celebrate with campers while forming friendships that often last well beyond the summer.
The Challenges & Rewards
Yes, the days are long and the sun is hot. You’ll need flexibility, patience, and resilience. But the rewards are immense: watching a camper try something new, being part of traditions that bring joy to hundreds of kids, and walking away with leadership skills that will last a lifetime.
