Printing & Carving introduces campers to the artistry of printmaking through hands-on design and craftsmanship. Throughout the week, campers will learn techniques such as block carving, stamp creation, mono-printing, and layered ink work. They will sketch, carve, and print their own original designs while exploring how artists use texture, pattern, and contrast to create bold visual pieces. This camp encourages creativity, problem-solving, and careful craftsmanship as students transform their ideas into finished prints.
Campers will also visit the Congressional Camp pool twice a week.
CONGO is one of the highest quality camps in the DC area, and probably in the country. As the mom of a kid with special needs (social anxiety, etc), I can’t tell you how much I love CONGO.
