Application Process

Applying to work at Congressional Camp is simple and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

All Congressional Camp staff are carefully screened through a process of interviews, references, and background checks. In addition to pre-camp orientation, staff members attend training workshops and meetings before the start of camp that provide useful advice on dealing with conflict between campers, behavioral issues, minor injuries, and more.

Hiring Process

Getting started at Congressional Camp is easy. There are four main steps from application to orientation. Each one is designed to help us get to know you, prepare you for your role, and set you up for a successful summer.

Complete our online application and share your experience, availability, and the role you are interested in. The more detail you provide, the easier it is for us to find the right fit.

Qualified applicants will be invited to an interview either in person or virtually. We will also contact the references you provide to learn more about your strengths and experiences.

If selected, you will receive an official offer that confirms your role, assignment, and dates. Once you accept, we will guide you through the next steps to prepare for summer.

All staff attend mandatory orientation before camp begins. Training covers camper safety, behavior management, emergency procedures, and everything you need to succeed. Certain roles may require additional certifications such as CPR, Lifeguarding, or MAT.
