About Specialty Camps at Sleepy Hollow Elementary
Specialty Camps are held at our Sleepy Hollow Elementary satellite location and offer themed, week-long experiences for campers of all ages, from rising Junior Kindergarten through rising 9th grade. In past summers, popular offerings have included Pony Camp, Congo Chefs, Engineering, Nerf Battles, and more.
Campers visit the Congressional School campus twice per week to enjoy swimming in our pools. Specialty Camps run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, just like Day Camp, but operate on a one-week schedule, allowing campers to explore a wide variety of themes throughout the summer.
Our Extended Hours Program (EHP) is available at Sleepy Hollow, offering supervised care before camp from 7:00–9:00 AM and after camp from 4:00–6:00 PM.
Transportation is also available to and from Sleepy Hollow through our campwide bus system, which uses convenient cluster stops throughout Northern Virginia.
Together, EHP and bus services provide flexible, family-friendly options for arrival and dismissal each day.

Pick-up & Drop-off
Campers can arrive and depart programs at Sleepy Hollow Elementary in three different ways: Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up, our Extended Hours Program, or Bus Services.
Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up runs from 8:45–9:15 AM and 3:45–4:15 PM. Please place your name card on the dashboard so it is clearly visible to staff. CITs will help younger campers exit vehicles and find their groups in the morning. In the afternoon, we will radio for your camper when you pull in, and a counselor or CIT will walk them to your car. Campers not picked up by 4:15 PM will be taken to EHP.
Our Extended Hours Program (EHP) is available from 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:45–6:00 PM. Campers in EHP are supervised by dedicated staff and participate in a mix of age-appropriate activities before and after the camp day.
Our Bus Services provide transportation from convenient cluster stops across Northern Virginia, making it easy for families to access camp from a wide area. Counselors escort bus riders to and from their designated locations each day.
