Lunch & Snack

Congressional Camp provides morning and afternoon snacks for all Travel Camp groups, which are packed onto the buses before departure each day.

Campers eat lunch off campus daily, typically at local restaurants, food courts, or venues that host our trips. In previous summers, campers have enjoyed meals at places like Red Robin, Chipotle, CAVA, Chick-fil-A, Potbelly, and more. Lunch is included in the cost of the camp, and options vary based on each day’s destination.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Campers can arrive and depart in three different ways: Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up, our Extended Hours Program, or Bus Services.

Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up runs from 8:45–9:15 AM and 3:45–4:15 PM. Please place your placard on the dashboard so it is clearly visible to staff. Staff will help younger campers exit vehicles and find their groups in the morning. In the afternoon, we will radio for your camper when you pull in, and a counselor will walk them to your car. Campers not picked up by 4:15 PM will be taken to our Extended Hours Program.

Our Extended Hours Program (EHP) is available from 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:45–6:00 PM. Campers in EHP are supervised by dedicated staff and participate in a mix of age-appropriate activities before and after the camp day.

Our Bus Services provide transportation from convenient cluster stops across Northern Virginia, making it easy for families to access camp from a wide area. Counselors escort bus riders to and from their designated locations each day.
